CMIT South student, Riley-Simone was recently appointed Middle School Advocate for PGCPS by the Prince George’s County Student Board Member Alvaro Ceron-Ruiz. In this role Riley will be
responsible for advising the student member of the board (SMOB) Advisory Council on issues pertinent to middle schools within the school district. Simone will act as a liaison between
the SMOB Advisory Council and the Middle School community. She will also assist the SMOB with middle school outreach activities and events. Riley-Simone role is critical to ensuring
that all middle schoolers in the county are heard.
